Poole's of Music is a full-time professional business based in Townsville, North Queensland, Australia.
Almost without exception the majority of venues recommend us, as do our previous clients - therefore to keep this "best form of advertising" working for us we have strict standards to uphold.
We always endeavor to keep the volume of music at a ‘talkable’ level through dinner and increase the volume for dancing appropriate to the needs of the guests.
Our mirror fronted consoles hold all our equipment - latest sound activated projection lighting is free standing and included for all functions.
We require nothing to be supplied from the venue, except power (we can run from one power point).
Our functions are always set up well in advance (often the day before if possible) of the starting time to avoid disrupting pre-dinner drinks and also to have ample time to fix any glitches - Our DJ’s (unless under special circumstances) do not set up the equipment - we have a "set-up" team so the DJ arrives for your function fresh and ready to "party" - not hot and tired from a hurried move in of the gear!
Most venues have agreed to supply a meal (if its a buffet) at no charge to the Clients. A-la carte is negotiable but to our DJ's a meal is a privilege not a right!
We send out a form to fill in with special likes/dislikes and either meet in person or discuss the final details by phone for each function - a check list is completed by the Bride and Groom ensuring not even the smallest detail is overlooked and the DJ is assigned who is most suitable for each function.
Prices are for 6 hours or midnight whichever comes first (most of the better venues close then) although we won't leave a party swinging and don't mind a wind down of 1/4 to 1/2 hour - If guests are able to "party on" - its $50 per hour paid in cash to the DJ thereafter.
